John McCormack is a furniture designer, maker and teacher. He lives and works in Port Townsend, WA, and believes that teaching is social design, where you give your knowledge to others rather than embodying it in an object. He finds teaching to be more social — and more socially useful— than solely designing and making things. John is also a solo long-distance kayaker, having paddled the complete Canadian portion of the Inside Passage. He’d like a boat with a lid.
