I will celebrate 25 years of marriage to my amazing wife Karen during the WA360. We adopted three sisters from Chihuahua Mexico and now have three wonderful grand children. I work as a special education administrator in Colorado. I lost my left leg to cancer when I was nine, as a result I have learned perseverance, grit and problem solving. I love the outdoors, competing and trying new things. Four years ago I heard about the Race to Alaska, and committed to competing in the race (I did not have a boat or know how to sail). I am now the captain of team Out on a Limb we will be competing in the WA360 this year and if able R2AK next year.
