Most boaters experience unexpected problems on the water. That's why the U.S. Coast Guard recommends that all recreational boaters, including personal watercraft and paddle sport users, take advantage of the free Vessel Safety Check program every year.

Every boat is required to have certain features and equipment to enhance the safety of using your boat. Do you have proper signaling devices? Are your fire extinguishers correct type and quantity? Does your boat meet all Federal and State requirements? These are just some items that will be discussed in this presentation to pass a voluntary Vessel Safety Check as well as additional suggested features and equipment.

Learn how a Vessel Safety Check is performed at your boat by a certified Vessel Examiner. Once your boat is awarded a current Vessel Safety Check decal, it will alert the Coast Guard and other law enforcement agencies that your boat was found in full compliance with required regulations.
