We hear about self-driving cars on the road, but the fact is we still don't have fully autonomous driver-less cars out there. On the water, however, uncrewed vessels are currently plying the oceans. Join Colin Angus, cofounder of Open Ocean Robotics (and owner of Angus Rowboats) as he discusses all aspects of autonomous boats - technology, safety, regulations and what it means to the average boater. Colin's company, based out of Victoria BC produces small solar-powered boats that can conduct research and surveillance for months at a time. And in theme with the Wooden Boat Festival, all their prototypes have been built from wood - using stitch and glue construction.
